The New Black Imagination Festival celebrates the exciting ideas that are being brought to life by global black cultural producers.
The first Festival took place on October 15, 2011 at Long Island University’s Brooklyn Campus, and featured 25 speakers, 14 sessions and four musical performances. We will continue to explore these new ideas and possibilities–what they mean, and where things are headed–through lectures, workshops and performances.
